Objective : To investigate the effect of heat treatment on the mechanical and physical properties of blast furnace charging apparatus parts in order to improve their efficiency and durability. Research methods : metallographic analysis, mathematical analysis, mechanical testing. The qualification work investigated the influence of the titanium, boron and carbon content in the surfacing material on the working surface of the cone and the subsequent heat treatment on the structure and hardness of the deposited layer. The studies were conducted using the following methods: optical microscopy, Rockwell hardness determination, and regression modeling. Using mathematical modeling to establish the connection between composition and hardness welded metal, and also analysis microstructures help to establish the recommended composition of the material for surfacing. Based on the informationanalytical study, a mode of heat treatment of the cone after surfacing was developed to relieve internal stresses.
